"History never repeats itself. Men always do." Voltaire.
So begins Black Markets...and Business Blues, a work by two Canadians who write that this is the time and opportunity for societies and governments to make radical changes before the unregulated secretive parts of the financial markets which crashed in 2008 have recovered their aplomb. The authors look for a new capitalism based on forms of business ownership and compensation which will bring back some level of trust and loyalty in companies, a long term perspective in their management, and a serious consideration of the stakeholders that give companies their legitimacy. They argue for a set of policies to accomplish this.
